The Guinness Book of World Records tracks a lot of odd records, but one cat-related world record involves the length of a cat’s tail. Now a Michigan man and his Maine Coon cat, Altair, have set the world’s record for the longest cat tail at 16.07 inches long.

The owner of Altair, William John Powers, also owns another cat that has set a world record. Fenrir, a Savannah cat, holds the record for the world’s tallest cat at 18.83 inches tall. Why this man and his cats keep setting world’s records remains a mystery, but at least he’s semi-famous, thanks to his cats.
