Every cat is different, yet every cat’s personality isn’t totally random. Animal behaviorists believe that a cat’s personality can actually be a reflection of their owner’s personality. For example, cats that hide from strangers often belong to people who also don’t feel comfortable meeting new people.
An aggressive cat might indicate an owner who’s angry at the world while a timid cat might reflect the personality of an owner who lets others walk all over them. So if you want to change your cat’s behavior, consider changing your own behavior first. Then again, animal behaviorists can’t seem to explain why cats seem so manipulative over their owners.
