When most people see a black cat crossing their path, they often think it means bad luck. That wasn’t the case when game warden Sarah Wennersten spotted a black cat crossing her path near Lubbock, Texas.

After seeing the black cat multiple times, Wennersten noticed several other cats that had just survived a raging wildfire. The black cat led Wennersten to several kittens, who were later rescued. So the next time a black cat crosses your path, it probably isn’t bad luck but a sign of good luck. By following a black cat, you may find more than you’re looking for.
