If you ever catch your cat staring at you, you might notice that cats have different facial expressions to register happiness, disgust, or plain indifference. That’s why it’s good to know that the journal Behavioural Processes had two US scientists count 276 different facial expressions when domesticated cats interacted with one another.

With so many different facial expressions to decipher, you just have to remember that all facial expressions mean the same thing, “Human, do my bidding now!” Once you realize that facial expressions are just variants of that one command, you’ll never have to wonder what your cat wants from you again.
