When people travel to different time zones, they often feel tired because their bodies are used to one time zone but life around them is following a different time schedule. So when a couple moved from the East coast to the West coast of the United States, they noticed their cat started behaving differently as if he was confused about the time change.

Since jet lag typically occurs when you first arrive in a different time zone, the cat’s behavior likely isn’t jet lag but a reaction to a new, unfamiliar environment. That’s a time to help a cat adjust to a new home so it calms down and relaxes. Remember, just as people need time to adjust to new situations, so do cats.
