When most people think of cats in the wild, they might think of big cats like jaguars, lions, tigers, and cheetahs. Yet in parts of India and Sri Lanka, there’s a wild cat known as the rusty-spotted cat that’s one of the smallest cats in the world.

How these tiny cats survive in the wild among bigger cats might be a mystery, but perhaps these tiny cats use their cuteness to charm predators and other larger animals just like cats charm humans into taking care of them at our expense. If you love tiny kittens, you might love the rusty-spotted cat.
