Most people get dogs to guard their home or business, but Fred Everitt in Mississippi claims his 20-pound cat, Bandit, saved his life by thwarting armed bandits trying to break into his home. In the middle of the night, Fred said Bandit started clawing at his blankets and meowing.
When Fred got up, he heard a noise and discovered two men trying to break into his home. By the time he got his gun, the two armed burglars had fled. Because Bandit had alerted him, Fred believes he stopped an armed burglary. Who would have thought that a cat could scare away criminals?
