Cats love to eat and lounge around sleeping most of the day, so it’s not surprising to find obese cats once in a while. What is surprising is to find a cat that’s so fat it might break the world’s record for fattest cat in the world.
Miu, who is thought to weight three stone two pounds, lives in Nam Dinh with his owner 75-year-old Tran Thi Nga in Vietnam.
She bought him 10 years ago as a normal sized kitten after she fell in love with his glossy black and white fur. ‘I was surprised to see how fast he grew. There was one month where he gained nearly a kilogram (2.2 pounds).’
If Miu’s weight is confirmed, he’ll be the world’s fattest cat, breaking the previous record by a cat named Elvis who weighed just over two stone.
