When left alone, children often make up imaginary friends. Naturally, cats aren’t any different except this particular cat just happened to find an imaginary friend in the form of its own reflection in a mirror.
The cat tentatively reaches out to the other cat in the mirror and then begins engaging in a frantic game of patty cake with its reflection. Whether this cat knows it’s looking at itself or thinking there’s another cat behind a pane of glass isn’t known. But what is known is that that cat looks humorous, pawing away at the glass while at least entertaining the humans watching it.
