Occasionally, you may need to take your cat with you on an airplane. While many cats freak out when taken out of familiar surroundings, you can make the ordeal less stressful for both you and your cat by following some basic guidelines.
First, make sure you pay the extra fee to allow you to take your cat on the plane as carry-on baggage. For maximum leg room, get a seat on the aisle or near the window, not in the middle. With a cat in a carry-on container, there won’t be much room for a portable litter box so give your cat plenty of time to use the litter box before you have to head to the airport.
Given the crowded conditions and stress of airport traveling, you need to make sure both you and your cat get through the experience in one piece.
