Do you let your cat on the kitchen counter? 21 percent of veterinarians said “yes,” 13 percent answered “rarely” and 54.5 percent answered “no.”
Average people responded differently. 28 percent answered “yes”, 11 percent said rarely and 48.1 percent said no. Experts say cats like jumping on the kitchen counter because a high place makes cats feel safe. If cats could respond to the survey, they would probably respond that they jump on kitchen counters because they can and because it demonstrates their dominance over their human servants.
