In England, Downing Street is the location where the two of the most senior British Cabinet ministers live. Over the yard, Downing Street has become a sanctuary for cats. However, Freya, Chancellor George Osborne’s cat, got a fright recently after straying more than a mile from her Westminster home.
Fortunately a homeless outreach worker noticed that the cat seemed stressed out. After identifying the cat from a tag, the outreach worker returned Freya back to Downing Street where she belongs. How Freya managed to stray so far from home is a mystery, but there’s a good chance she won’t do it again.
