Most outdoor cats occasionally bring home a dead mouse or bird to reward their human servants with the joy of disposing of a dead animal. However, a cat in New Zealand was shocked to find that her cat had brought home a 5 gram bag of cannabis with a street value between $100 (£51) and $150(£88).

Police don’t know where the cannabis came from but they’re having the bag checked for fingerprints. The next time your cat brings home a dead mouse or bird, perhaps you may want to train your cat to bring home illegal drugs instead. At least drugs can be easier to dispose of than a rotting carcass of an animal.
