Tutti Fruti, a wise old black and white cat, recently celebrated her 24th birthday through the red carpet treatment at the Hilton Hotel in Templepatrick, where she was pampered in the new spa complex.
Owner Marie McAleavey said the secret to her pet’s longevity lay in a careful diet. The sourpuss turns her nose up at regular old milk, and instead guzzles down filtered water, Acai berries and supplements. This cat of discernible taste also loves strong cheese and dark chocolate.
“I put on coconut oil after my shower and I put some on her fur. She loves it – she licks it off my fingers. She’s the boss, she rules the roost here,” Marie added.
