After Katie Stulc and her husband Nick DuFoe, lost their black lab Minnie in April, they and their two daughters were heartbroken. Fortunately friends soon offered them two kittens and then another friend offered them a more unusual pet, a Muscovy duck chick, which they promptly named Penny.
Penny grew up with the two kittens who have now accepted her as part of the family. The trio eats and drinks together, and often curls up to nap together as well. If cats and ducks can get along, perhaps there’s still hope for peace in the Middle East as long as both sides get cats to help mediate the discussions.
