The Alamo holds a special place in the hearts and minds of most Texans. Unfortunately the Alamo, like most buildings, can get overrun with mice. To deal with this rodent problem, the Alamo has enlisted the aid of an official cat.
Miss Isabella Francisca Veramendi de Valero — or Bella for short — was crowned the official Alamo cat recently after the previous Alamo cat passed away. With so many people visiting the Alamo every year, there’s a good chance some of them will get the pleasure of seeing the official Alamo cat at the same time. Perhaps this cat might even be as famous as the Alamo itself.
