To maintain his popular image around Russia and the rest of the world Vladimir Putin likes having his picture taken showing him as an ordinary citizen. Not surprisingly, one picture of Putin shows him holding a cat.
The implication must be if Putin can hold a cat, then he can’t be that bad. Then again, perhaps Putin really isn’t that bad but the cat in his arms is the one ordering military excursions into the Ukraine. Given the attitude of most cats, this might not be as far fetched as you might believe.
