The Japanese love cats. They also love technology so it’s no surprise that they found a way to combine their love for tinkering with science and their love for cats. The next time you’re in Japan, you can buy a new scent called “The Scene of a Cat’s Forehead.”

The head of Yamamoto Perfumery took the job of recreating the scent quite seriously, spending time sniffing the foreheads of furry felines at cat cafes to check the similarity between fragrances. After four months of testing and development, the fabric spray has finally been released.

People claim that the scene to a cat’s forehead reminds them of “the smell of sunshine”; “a futon that’s been dried in the sun” and “sweet bread”.
