Cats can’t tell you when they’re in pain so they usually change their behavior somehow to make their needs known instead. By reading their body language, you can detect problems that your cat may be trying to tell you.

Some signals that a cat may be hurt include suddenly having trouble jumping, losing its appetite, or lowering its head. Cats may also be hurt if you refuse to spend 24 hours a day playing with them, bankrupting yourself to buy them toys they won’t play with, and devoting your life to the happiness of your cat at the total expense of your own.
