If you have a particularly naughty and rowdy cat, check its appearance. Believe it or not, the color of your cat may determine its attitude towards humans, at least according to a study done at UC Davis Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital.

Dr. Elizabeth Stelow, a behavioral expert in the UC Davis Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital surveyed more than 1,200 cat owners and found that calicoes and torties are more likely to hiss, chase, bite, swat or scratch during interactions with humans.

So if your cat is giving you an attitude, it could be because of the color of its fur. To read more about this study linking a cat’s color to its attitude, click here.
