Disneyland introduced one of the world’s first monorails back in 1955. Yet despite the proof that monorails worked and can transport passengers safety and quickly, monorails are still a rarity around much of the world.

That might be why cats around the world have taken up the cause of monorails by imitating them whenever possible. Why cats feel comfortable balancing precariously on a slender beam remains a mystery, but given the behavior of most cats, everything they do remains a mystery. The monorail cat is just one of many unexplained phenomena that scientists have yet to understand.
