If you have a cat, you know how odd their behavior can be at times. While cats may seem illogical and irrational, they at least make more sense than most politicians.

The prevailing scientific explanation for the odd behavior of cats boils down to their evolutionary history. Cats are both solitary predators AND the prey of larger carnivores, and their strange habits today reflect both of those strategies.

That explains why cats pounce and attack everything they see, and also hide in boxes and other small places to avoid being attacked by larger predators, although why cats think hiding in a sink or cardboard box will protect them is still a mystery.
