Cats have been unjustly accused of witchcraft or evil throughout history when the real evil doers are often humans. Even worse, black cats have gotten an unfair reputation for being particularly evil and unlucky, which is why animal shelters often have the most trouble finding people willing to adopt a black cat.

That’s why there’s Black Cat Appreciation Day to give black cats a chance to find a forever home and live a happy life with a loving owner. If you’re looking for a cat, consider a black cat. The color of the cat won’t matter as much as the attitude of the animal, which pretty much means the cat will take over you life and boss you around nom matter what color its fur might be.
