Superstition says that if a black cat walks across your path, you’ll have bad luck. Of course that superstition doesn’t say what type of luck the black cat will have. That’s probably why a black cat decided to prance along the railroad tracks of a train in Manhattan.

The kitten, nicknamed “Seven,” ducked under a metal grate just as a train approached. The conductor saw the cat and slowed down while people flagged the train and workers rescued the cat. An hour alter, the trains were able to start up again, but at least the black kitten is safe and two commuters even put their name on the list to be the first to adopt the cat when it’s available.

Now isn’t it worth being late just to save a cat?
