Thanksgiving is usually a time for everyone to eat and get together, but that may not sit well with your cat. While some cats are social and like everyone, the sheer number of strangers roaming through the house may freak out many other cats.

To help your cat cope with Thanksgiving, keep a cat-free zone so the cat doesn’t step all over your Thanksgiving meal. Also consider setting cup a cat-safe space so your cat can relax and enjoy a turkey dinner too in comfort away from strangers it may not be familiar with.

Thanksgiving should be a time for everyone to enjoy and that includes your cat. Make this year’s holiday special for you, your family, and your cat. Your cat will appreciate your extra effort and may actually treat you with less contempt than normal.
