In British Columbia, a guard cat named Onca roams freely outdoors, ostensibly to protect the house against intruders. So when an intruder appeared in the form of a deer, Onca rolled over and let the deer give it a tongue bath.
Apparently Onca likes socializing with deer and the deer seem to like socializing with the cat. If a deer and a cat can get along, perhaps people should be able to learn to live together as well.
