Owning a cat can be expensive. Not only do you have to buy food and give your cat better health care than you’re probably giving yourself, but you also have to buy kitty litter so your cat doesn’t soil your clothes, bed, or carpeting.
While many people buy kitty litter, you can actually make your own kitty litter out of shredded paper such as newspaper or junk mail. Just shred the paper into strips and soak it into water with banking soda. Then crumble the strips into clumps and you’ll have your own kitty litter.
