Most cats enjoy roaming freely through their neighborhood but BooBoo the cat has another way to travel. Apparently BooBoo likes hopping into people’s cars to get around so in August 2014, BooBoo went missing in Watsonville, California. Nearly four years later, the brown tabby appeared in southwestern Canada.

Amazingly, BooBoo looked well-fed and taken care of, which hints that someone (or multiple people) may have taken care of the cat. Fortunately, BooBoo had been microchipped so when the Canadian Humane Society got BooBoo, they used the microchip to find BooBoo’s original owner.

Now BooBoo is heading back home, but who knows how long she’ll stay there?
