Near Japan there’s an entire island overrun by cats. Tourists visit the island specifically to watch the cats roam freely without fear or danger from anything except other felines. Unfortunately, so many wild cats often suffer health problems so now there’s a crowd funding program designed to turn cat island into an independent Neco Republic.
The goal is to raise funds to care for all the cats on the island and turn the island into one huge cat cafe. This won’t be cheap. Fund raisers estimate it will cost $200 million to realize their entire dream, so if you want to help fund a cat island, contribute what you can and perhaps you too can be declared a citizen of cat island.
