Any cat owner knows that if you put a cardboard box on the floor, a cat will inevitably jump in it and sit there for no apparent reason. Now people are noticing another odd occurrence: cats sitting in bathtubs.

Apparently bathtubs attract cats because they’re shaped like boxes and they also have water, which cats may like drinking. Of course, if you buy an expensive cat bed or can scratching post, you can be sure the cat will prefer the cardboard box that it came in, or just saunter off to sit in a bathtub instead.
