A gray-and-white cat nicknamed Catsby, was popular among Duluth East High School students and staff. Unfortunately in November Catsby was hit and killed by a car.

To honor Catsby, students, staff, and nearby residents have organized a 5K run in Catsby’s honor. In addition, they’re making a sculpture of Catsby for $3,000. Although Catsby will no longer be able to visit students at school, his sculpture can be a constant reminder of his familiar presence from the past.
