Every pet owner likes to believe that their animals love them, but how far does that love really go, especially if you’re dead and no longer able to provide for them? When loved ones die, people mourn. Yet when people die, pets might just eat them.
Erika Englehaupt of National Geographic examined 20 cases of what happened when someone died and a pet was left alone in the house with the body. Fortunately for cat lovers, it turns out that dogs are far more likely to eat a dead owner than a cat. So if you want to distrust anything, it should be your pet dog instead of your lovable kitty.
