Wild cats tend to be shy around people and the Cambodian fishing cat is no exception. That’s when when researchers set up camera traps in the wild, they were ecstatic when a camera captured a picture of a fishing cat.
Hopefully more fishing cats will be photographed, meaning more fishing cats are living in the area. Perhaps one day a fishing cat from Cambodia can become a new pet or at least an animal scientists can continue to protect so they can thrive and breed.
