It’s usually not a good idea to drink vodka, especially if you’re a cat. Tipsy accidentally drank some anti-freeze and was fortune enough to be discovered and brought to a veterinarian in time.
Even more fortunate was that a staff member had vodka available so the vet diluted the vodka and used it to counteract the anti-freeze in the cat’s body. Curiously, vodka is one way to deal with the problem of anti-freeze in a cat’s system.
Tipsy is now expected to make a full recovery and needs to find a forever home, but at least Tipsy survived a scare with anti-freeze. If you happen to live in Australia and want to adopt a cat, Tipsy may be your next pet.
