There’s a huge difference between dogs and cats. Dogs look at the way people treat them and think that humans must be gods. Cats look at the way people treat them and think that felines must be gods.
Since cats are inherently superior to any other life form on the face of the Earth (in the mind of a cat, that is), it only makes sense that dogs would want to feel superior too. That’s why many dogs act like cats.
While this will never make a dog into a cat, it can make cats feel justified in treating everyone around them as their inferiors.
