There are too many cats that need good homes. While kittens are most likely to be adopted, don’t overlook all types of cats. Some people refuse black cats out of superstition because they believe a black cat causes bad luck. What they don’t realize is that the presence of any cat causes bad luck, so feel free to adopt a black cat.
Even worse, older cats have a much harder time getting adopted. If you’re looking to help a cat and don’t have time to raise a kitten into an adult, consider an older cat that already has its habits ingrained. Such older cats can make wonderful pets as well as being trained already knowing how to boss humans around.
