Cats generally live around ten years or more, but if you own a particular breed of cat, you may be curious to know the lifespan of different breeds. This likely won’t change your mind about a particular cat, but it can be interesting to estimate the lifespan of your favorite feline.
Surprisingly, the American Shorthair cat has the longest average lifespan ranging from 15-20 years. In comparison, the hairless Sphinx cat tends to live only 8-14 years. Remember, it’s not how long your cat lives but how well it lives, so be sure to spend every waking hour of your life making sure your cat has a happy life.
