In San Francisco, there’s a garage that’s no longer being used. In 2017, a local artist decided to make the garage exterior look more inviting by drawing pictures of cartoon cats all over the front. Now the city may tear this garage down to make room for 40 homes.

While the city may keep the garage facade intact for historical purposes, the cartoon cats drawn on the front likely won’t be part of this historical preservation. That just goes to show you that instead of cartoon cats, the city may just need to replace them with real cats instead.
