If you want to know if your cat truly loves you, look at their behavior around you. Feline specialist Dr. Elizabeth Colleran studied cats and determined that several behavior traits that show your cat loves you.

First, cats demonstrate affection by walking around with their tail straight up. Additionally, when a cat rubs against your ankles, that means “I love you!”

Cats show fondness for each other by sleeping together, so when a cat sleeps with you, that’s a similar sign of bonding. Third, listen to your cat purring because purring is a sign of contentment.

By deciphering your cat’s behavior, you can learn how much your cat really loves you. Of course, your cat might just love your home, but that’s close enough and given a cat’s fickle attitude, it may be more than we could all hope for anyway.
