Achilles the Russian cat was given a choice between a bowl of food with the Russian flag or a bowl of food with the Saudi Arabian flag. Because Achilles picked the food near the Russian flag, that meant he predicted Russia would win its world Cup match over Saudi Arabia.
Not surprisingly, Russia did defeat Saudi Arabia, which means Achilles’s first pick proved accurate. Now the psychic cat plans to predict the winners of upcoming World Cup matches to show the world that cats are smarter than you might think. Then again, every cat owner knows that cats already think they’re smarter than everyone else anyway.
