With the World Cup going on, animals from around the world have been making predictions. One of those animals was Baidianr, which literally means “white spot” in Chinese.

Baidianr was a stray cat who lived in Beijing’s Palace Museum and correctly predicted six World Cup matches but did get a few wrong. Unfortunately, Baidianr recently passed away before he could make any more World Cup predictions.

Fortunately, a second cat named a second cat, named Changtuir (long legs), is filling in, having correctly chosen the winner two consecutive times. Let’s hope Changtuir has a long and happy life predicting future sporting events.
