There are food banks available to help people get the food they need, so it’s not a surprise that in Asheville, North Carolina, a non-profit organization wants to help create a food pantry for cats.

The goal is to let people keep their pets in a loving home without worrying about paying for necessities like food, flea treatments and litter. By keeping more cats in loving homes and out of shelters and the street, the cat pantry can help reduce the stray cat population.
