With the memories of Hurricane Florence still fresh in everyone’s mind, it’s a good idea to learn how to take care of your cat during a natural disaster. After all, you don’t want to flee unprepared from a disaster and risk abandoning your cat behind.

First, make sure you have a cat carrier for all your cats. Next, make sure you have enough food for a few days or more. Depending on the disaster, you may be stuck somewhere without access to cat food so you need to make sure your cat is well-prepared.

Finally, don’t forget cleaning supplies and a harness of some kind to keep your cat safe with you. It’s always better to be prepared for a disaster ahead of time so stock up on supplies now and make plans to save your cat. You’ll be glad you did.
