To describe the strangeness of quantum physics, Erwin Schrödinger proposed putting a cat in a box along with a particle that has a 50 percent chance of turning radioactive and killing the cat. Only until we actually open the box can we find out whether the cat is alive or not.

Of course if cats were running this experiment, they would put a human in a box and see if it has a chance of surviving or not. That way the cat would be alive 100% of the time no matter what, which is the way quantum physics really works if you’re a cat.
