When Hurricane Florence hit the East Coast, it flooded the land in its aftermath. Eddie Summerlin, the manager of a restaurant called The Baron & The Beef, checked to make sure the building was okay. That’s when he discovered that Buddy the cat, who has been the unofficial restaurant cat since he was a kitten, was clinging to a fence for dear life.

Fortunately a rescue group came by and saved Buddy. When the flood waters recede, Buddy will be able to go back to The Baron & Beef and become their official cat once more, being fed scraps by the restaurant staff. Until then, at least Buddy is safe so let’s hope other people and cats can find a shelter until the flood waters recede for good.
