Many people don’t like preservatives in their food, preferring more natural, healthier food. So naturally such cat owners also want to feed their cat healthier food as well. That’s why PetCo announced they will no longer sell any cat food that uses preservatives.
“Some may question whether this makes good business sense, but putting pets’ health first has always been the right thing to do for Petco,” Petco CEO Ron Coughlin said in a statement. “We hope the rest of the pet industry will join us on this path.”
