Cats have an unchaining ability to get in the most unusual and dangerous places and then not be able to get back out again. That’s what happened to an indoor cat that got out and found itself trapped at the top of a dam in Indiana.
The sheriff’s department and the Army Corps of Engineers came to the rescue by shutting off the water pouring down the dam spillway and putting men in a boat by the water. Then act he cat tumbled down the dam and hit the water, the men in the boat were able to pull the cat to safety.
So if you have a cat, keep it away from dams. Then again, expect your cat to find a way to get into trouble anyway.
