in many parts of the United States, a polar vortex sent temperatures plummeting way below zero. Not only did this make conditions outside dangerous for people, but also for animals as well.

While working from home, Nathaniel Styer spotted a stray cat rubbing against the window, begging to be let in from the cold. Nathaniel recognized the cat as Chunk Chunk, one of many stray cats in a feral cat colony.

Now Nathaniel has a house guest and Chunk Chunk has a warm place to stay for now. Hopefully Chunk Chunk will be able to find a forever home to stay out of the cold for good.
