It’s easy to train a dog. It’s not as easy to train a cat. The problem with cats is that it’s hard to get them to listen and obey. That’s why Japanese scientists decided to determine why cats are so hard to train.

Researchers at Sophia University in Japan experimented with cats to determine if they recognize certain sounds such as their names. When scientists discovered that cats can indeed recognize their names, they concluded that the reason cats don’t come when you call them is because they’re simply ignoring you.

Of course, it doesn’t take a Ph.D. to figure that out. Anyone who has lived with a cat for more than three seconds already figured that out long ago.
