Restaurants need to hire waiters and waitresses, which can drive up costs. To avoid that, robotics company PuduTech has created a robot waiter. To make this robot more appealing, the company made its face resemble a cat.
BellaBot has four tray levels to store food and beverages. When summoned by a customer, it navigates to the customer’s table and even accepts pets and scratches, responding with appropriate facial expressions of happiness or disdain just like a real cat. Of course unlike a real cat, this robot cat actually does something useful.
